Cnty Div R - Judge Buie
Go to Docket...
Policy
As of January 1, 2024, Judge Buie is assigned to CRIMINAL DIVISION "R", and Judge Culver is assigned to Civil Division "S".
If you need hearing time on a Civil matter, please contact Judge Culver's Office (camila.garcia@flcourts18.org).
To set a CRIMINAL hearing (or plea), after coordinating with opposing counsel/other parties, please send an email to Lacey Billick (Lacey.Billick@flcourts18.org) with all the information outlined below in the numbered bullet points. Do not file a Notice of Hearing until I confirm that your hearing has been set. If a hearing is not set this way with the JA, it will not appear on the Judge’s docket and will not be addressed.
The time you pick must be before the Trial period (Docket Review) for that case, I cannot set anything past a Docket Review date because I cannot grant continuances. To determine if a date is before the Trial period, you may use the monthly calendars posted on the 18th Judicial Website at https://flcourts18.org/attorney-citizen-resources/seminole-county-judge-carsandra-buie/. If a different duration other than 15-minutes is needed, you must find consecutive slots that equal the amount of time needed (i.e. if you need 1-hour, make sure there are four consecutive 15-minute slots available).
For Court efficiency, as well as Deputy and Clerk staffing purposes, please select the first available timeslot for any specific morning or afternoon to prevent gaps in the docket. All hearings/pleas must be set with JA no later than 11 a.m. the day before.
